cleaners B.V. respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we protect it. This policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

cleaners B.V., based in Amsterdam, is the data controller for personal data processed via getcleaners.nl. Email: privacy@getcleaners.nl

2. What data we collect

Clients: name, email, address (for the clean), payment details (processed by Stripe — we never store card numbers). Cleaners: name, email, phone, identity document, VOG, photo, bank details (for payout via Stripe Connect). Website visitors: IP address, browser type, page visits (via functional cookies).

3. Purpose of processing

We process data for: • Executing bookings and payments • Verifying cleaners (KYC) • Improving our service • Complying with legal obligations • Handling complaints and disputes

4. Legal basis

We process data based on: • Performance of contract (booking) • Legal obligation (tax, Wwft) • Legitimate interest (fraud prevention, service improvement) • Consent (marketing, where applicable)

5. Retention period

We retain personal data no longer than necessary. Booking data: 7 years (tax obligation). KYC documents: up to 5 years after account closure. Account data: until deletion by the user.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Exercise your rights by emailing privacy@getcleaners.nl. We respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures: encrypted connections (TLS), access control (Row Level Security), and regular security audits.
